1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a website in your browser. We may also use local storage, software development kits, pixels, tags, server-side events, and similar technologies. These tools can recognize a browser or session, remember preferences, secure an account, measure interactions, and support attribution or advertising.
2. Categories we use
| Category | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Authentication, session continuity, security, load balancing, fraud prevention, form delivery, and workspace selection. | Session to approximately 1 year |
| Preferences | Remember settings, interface choices, consent state, and other requested functionality. | Session to approximately 1 year |
| Analytics | Measure traffic, referrers, landing pages, navigation, engagement, errors, conversions, and product usage. | Session to approximately 2 years |
| Advertising and attribution | Measure campaigns, preserve advertising click identifiers, create or suppress audiences, limit ad frequency, and understand whether advertising led to a conversion. | Session to approximately 2 years |
| Business audience intelligence | Infer the company or business category associated with a visit and combine that result with page-level intent signals. These matches may be inaccurate and do not necessarily identify the individual visitor. | Varies by provider and configuration |
3. How these technologies may be provided
Some technologies are set directly by GEO Catalyst and are called first-party technologies. Others may be provided by vendors supporting hosting, authentication, analytics, communications, advertising, payments, customer relationship management, session replay, and business-audience measurement.
The specific tools and cookies present can change as we improve the Services. Optional analytics or advertising technologies are activated subject to their configuration, applicable law, and available consent choices. Strictly necessary technologies cannot generally be disabled through a consent tool because the requested website or account functionality may not work without them.
4. Information associated with these technologies
Depending on the category and your choices, associated information may include a pseudonymous visitor or session identifier, IP address, approximate location, device and browser details, referring URL, landing page, pages viewed, interaction events, timestamps, campaign parameters, advertising click identifiers, form events, account identifiers, and conversion status.
When you identify yourself through a form, email link, account, or other interaction, we may associate prior pseudonymous activity with your contact or account record where permitted. We may also receive probabilistic company-level information from business-data providers. A company match should not be interpreted as proof that a particular employee visited the site.
5. Your controls
- Use any cookie banner or cookie-settings control made available on the site to change optional categories.
- Use browser settings to block or delete cookies and clear local storage. Blocking necessary technologies may prevent sign-in or other requested functionality.
- Use platform-level advertising controls offered by Google, LinkedIn, Meta, Microsoft, and other advertising providers you use.
- Use privacy-focused browser features or recognized opt-out preference signals where supported and legally required.
- Email hello@geocatalyst.ai with the subject “Privacy Request” for questions or applicable opt-out requests.
Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not interpreted consistently across the industry. We respond to legally recognized opt-out preference signals where required and technically supported.
6. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when technologies, providers, retention periods, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted here with a new effective date.
For more information about our data practices, read the GEO Catalyst Privacy Policy.
